I use crafts and design as a tool to generate dialogues about identity, migration, culture and gender while exploring new technologies in a experimental and critical manner. As a member of the artists/architects collective SomosMexas I participated in several encounters, dialogues and workshops to encourage and support marginalized communities from México City as well as independent young artists. I am a founder member of Modopactua, a collective focused on research practices of consumerism and waste-production which main purpose is experiment with reused textiles as mediums to open social discussions about political, economic, and ecological topics. Currently I am a member of Lacuna Lab, an art and technology collective based in Berlin, where I am developing experiments and collaborate with artists interested in new media, art and technology.
